Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 23, 2026

SEA FUN FL (“SEA FUN,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the online store seafun.shop, where we sell underwater camera housings, dome ports, and diving photography accessories. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. Questions? Email [email protected].

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Order information: name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and the products you purchase.
  • Account information: if you create an account — username, email, password (stored as a secure hash; we never see your plain-text password), order history, and saved addresses.
  • Payment information: payments are processed by our third-party payment processors. Card numbers are entered directly into the processor’s secure systems and never touch or get stored on our servers. We receive only a confirmation, the payment method type, and the last four digits of the card.
  • Communications: when you email us (e.g., care@, support@, returns@), call us, or submit our contact form, we keep the correspondence and any attachments (such as warranty claim photos) to resolve your request.
  • Newsletter signup: your email address, if you join our mailing list.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, and timestamps — collected through server logs and cookies.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: we use strictly necessary cookies (cart contents, login session, checkout), functionality cookies (wishlist, recently viewed products), and analytics cookies. See Section 6.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To process and deliver your orders, send order confirmations, shipping notifications, and tracking updates.
  • To manage returns, exchanges, refunds, and warranty claims.
  • To answer your questions and provide technical support (e.g., helping you choose the right housing or port for your camera and lens).
  • To send our marketing newsletter — only if you opted in — including new product announcements and promotions. Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link.
  • To maintain the security of our store: fraud screening on orders, preventing abuse, and protecting our systems.
  • To comply with legal obligations, such as tax and accounting record-keeping.
  • To improve our store: understanding which products and pages interest visitors, in aggregate.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own direct marketing.

3. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable law (such as the EU/UK GDPR for visitors from those regions) requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of a contract (processing your order), consent (newsletter, non-essential cookies), legitimate interests (store security, fraud prevention, improving our services), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).

4. Who We Share Information With

We share personal information only with service providers who need it to perform services for us, under appropriate safeguards:

  • Shipping carriers (e.g., USPS, UPS): name, address, phone/email for delivery notifications.
  • Payment processors: to authorize and settle your payment and to handle refunds and disputes.
  • Email service providers: our transactional email (order confirmations) is delivered via our email provider (Zoho Mail), and our newsletter is managed via Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.) if you subscribe.
  • Website hosting and security providers: our hosting company and content-delivery/security services process server logs, including IP addresses, to serve and protect the site.
  • Analytics providers: aggregate usage statistics as described in Section 6.
  • Professional advisers and authorities: accountants, lawyers, or public authorities where required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

If SEA FUN FL is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.

5. Data Retention

  • Order and invoice records: kept for as long as required by U.S. federal and Florida tax and accounting law (generally up to 7 years).
  • Account data: kept until you delete your account or ask us to delete it.
  • Support correspondence: kept for up to 3 years after the matter is closed, to handle follow-ups and warranty history.
  • Newsletter data: kept until you unsubscribe, after which your address is suppressed from future sends.

6. Cookies & Analytics

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We use:

  • Strictly necessary cookies — shopping cart, login session, and checkout security (these cannot be switched off; the store would not function).
  • Functionality cookies — remembering your wishlist and preferences.
  • Analytics cookies — aggregated statistics about how visitors use the site (pages visited, time on page) that help us improve the store.

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking all cookies may prevent checkout from working.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights, and we honor reasonable requests from all customers regardless of location:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction — fix inaccurate information (you can edit most details yourself in My Account).
  • Deletion — request erasure of your personal information, subject to legal retention obligations (e.g., completed order records we must keep for tax purposes).
  • Portability — receive your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Objection / restriction — object to or ask us to restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent — unsubscribe from marketing at any time via the link in any newsletter or by emailing us.

Florida and other U.S. state residents: where state privacy laws apply, you also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar state laws.

To exercise any right, email [email protected] from the address associated with your order or account. We will verify your identity and respond within the time required by applicable law (generally within 30–45 days).

8. Security

Our entire site is served over HTTPS/TLS encryption. Access to order data is limited to personnel who need it to serve you, protected by strong authentication. Payment card data is handled exclusively by PCI-DSS-compliant payment processors. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your information, and we will notify you and the relevant authorities of any data breach as required by law.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our store sells equipment intended for adult use and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

10. International Visitors

Our store and servers are operated from the United States. If you visit from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those of your country.

11. Third-Party Links

Our site may link to external resources — for example, camera manufacturers’ sites, carrier tracking pages, or our lens-port compatibility chart hosted as a PDF. This Privacy Policy does not cover third-party sites; please review their policies separately.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top always reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced on this page, and — where legally required — communicated to you directly.
